SPACE-MERCURY-MESSENGER
In this image released by NASA September 29, 2009, shows a newly acquired image of Mercury by the Messenger spacecraft during its third fly-by. The unnamed impact basin is seen for the first time. The outer diameter of the basin is approximately 260 kilometers (160 miles). The image was acquired on September 29, 2009.
