Italian writer Roberto Saviano takes part in a demostration for the freedom of the press in central Rome's Piazza del Popolo on 3 October 2009. Thousands rally in Rome to defend the freedom of the press against italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's press clampdown, claiming that their right to voice opinions against the italian Premier, is being dangerously undermined in print and, in particular, on television, which is dominated by Mr Berlusconi?s media empire.
