SWEDEN-NOBEL-ECONOMY-PRIZE
Gunnar Oquist, Permanent Secretary of the Royal Academy of Sciences, announces The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel for 2009 for Elinor Ostrom, Indiana University, Bloomington, USA, and Oliver E. Williamson, University of California, Berkeley, CA, USA, at the Royal Academy of Sciences in Stockholm, on October 12, 2009. Elinor Ostrom was awarded 'for her analysis of economic governance, especially the commons', and Oliver E. Williamson 'for his analysis of economic governance, especially the boundaries of the firm'.
