GERMANY-TURKEY-BANK-POLITICS-MIGRATION-SARRAZIN-FILES
FILES - Portrait taken on March 24, 2009 in Berlin shows Thilo Sarrazin, then Berlin's Finance senator during a press conference. Sarrazin, now a member of the six-man board at the powerful Bundesbank, was relieved of his duties for cash circulation and risk-management, leaving him only information technology, the Bundesbank announced on October 13, 2009. He prompted a furious row with comments about Arabs and Turks widely seen as racist. Sarrazin, 64, is a political appointment and, as such, cannot be fired by Bundesbank President Axel Weber.
