(FILES) In this 10 April 2006 file photo former Enron CEO Jeffrey Skilling returns to the Bob Casey Federal Court House after the lunch break in the Enron trial in Houston, Texas. The Supreme Court agreed on October 13, 2009 to hear former Enron chief executive officer Jeffrey Skilling's appeal of his conviction for his role in one of the biggest corporate scandals in US history. Skilling's lawyers argued that the ensuing media blitz prevented him from receiving a fair trial and are also challenging a federal law punishing executives who fail to provide "honest services." Skilling's appeal was rejected by a lower court in January and he will remain in custody while the Supreme Court considers his case. He was sentenced to more than 24 years in prison after he was convicted in May of 2006 of 19 counts of conspiracy, fraud and insider trading.
