SWITZERLAND-UN-RIGHTS-MIDEAST-GAZA-ISRAEL
Aharon Leshno Yaar, Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, holds documents as he delivers a speech on October 15, 2009 at the European headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva. The adoption by the UN Human Rights Council of a proposed resolution on the controversial Goldstone report would be a "reward for terror," Israel's envoy told the 47-member state council on October 15. The UN Human Rights Council hold a special session today on the Palestinian territories during which it was set to decide whether to endorse a controversial report accusing Israel and Hamas of war crimes. "The resolution, as proposed, will be a reward for terror and will send a clear message to terrorists everywhere," said Aharon Leshno Yaar. AFP PHOTO / Jean Pierre Clatot
