MIDEAST-CONFLICT-STABBING
Israeli troops close the Kalandia checkpoint into the occupied West Bank after an Israeli guard was stabbed and wounded on October 25, 2009 by a Palestinian woman at the main checkpoint north of Jerusalem. The victim was a civilian guard working at the crossing, according to a spokesman for the border guard while an army spokeswoman said the attacker was a 20-year-old woman who stabbed the guard in the stomach before being apprehended.
