A combination of three file pictures released by Sierra Leone's UN-backed tribunal shows (from L) Augustine Gbao, Issan Hassan Sesay and Morris Kallon during their initial appearance at the court on April 2009. Sierra Leone's UN-backed tribunal upheld on October 26, 2009 sentences of up to 52 years in prison for three former rebel leaders for their roles in the country's brutal civil war. Although it accepted some of the grounds for appeal by the defendants the five-judge panel confirmed the sentences for Issa Hassan Sesay (52 years), Morris Kallon (40 years) and Augustine Gbao (25 years).
