FRA-WINE-TOUR D ARGENT-AUCTION
David Ridgway, sommelier at Paris' famed 16th century eatery, the Tour d'Argent holds a bottle of fine Champagne "Clos du Griffier" dated 1788, the oldest in the cellar of the restaurant on October 27, 2009. La Tour d'Argent famed for dishing up more than a million ducks, is putting 18,000 bottles up for auction on December 7 and 8, selected from 450,000 stocked in the cellars blessed with one of the best locations in the universe, straddling the Seine overlooking Notre Dame cathedral.
