BRITAIN-POLITICS-EXPENSES
(FILES) A file photo obtained on May 21, 2009, shows a 'Stockholm duck house' which British Conservative opposition MP Sir Peter Viggers claimed 1,600 pounds (2,600 dollars, 1,800 euros) in parliamentary expenses. Lawmakers will be banned from claiming for home loan repayments and employing family members under new rules unveiled Wednesday November 5, 2009, after an expenses scandal which has rocked Britain's parliament. A standards watchdog has proposed overhauling the system after a newspaper published weeks of damaging revelations that MPs had claimed thousands of pounds for everything from a duck house to cleaning the moat at a country home.
