This undated family photo, Sgt. Kimberly Munley, the civilian police officer who rushed rushed to the scene and gunned down the assailant in the shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas on November 5, 2009. Munley, 34, was directing traffic when the first shots rang out in the early afternoon. She rushed to the scene and challenged the alleged shooter, psychiatrist Major Nidal Malik Hasan, by pumping two rounds into him from her handgun.
