Tribal Indian villagers carry a pot of local liquor 'Haria' towards a market near Dantewada, some 262 kms (163 miles) south of Raipur, the capital of Indian state of Chhattisgarh, on October 28, 2009. As India prepares to launch an armed offensive against the Maoists operations in half of the 29 states the crucial challenge will be to destroy all heavily guarded Maoist camps spread across India and sorrounded by landmines. Some 10,000-20,000 heavily armed rebels are believed to be hiding out in India's forests, following a revolutionary communist ideology that paints the state and landowners as the enemies of the people.
