BELGIUM-EU-COMPETITION
EU competition commissioner Neelie Kroes gives a press conference about proposed restructuring measures for banks on November 18, 2009 at EU headquarters in Brussels. The European Commission on November 18 approved restructuring plans for British bank Lloyds, Dutch counterpart ING and Belgium's KBC bank, all rescued by public bailouts during the global financial crisis.
