BELGIUM-JUSTICE-CHILDSEX-DUTROUX
Victim of Belgian child rapist Marc Dutroux, Laeticia Delhez (L) and Jean Denis Lejeune, father of another victim of Dutroux, Julie, arrive at Arlon court 17 June 2004, for the verdict of Dutroux and his accomplices trial. Dutroux was convicted on Thursday on multiple charges of murder and kidnapping after a harrowing three-and-a-half-month trial for his part in the abduction of six girls, four of whom died. The jury failed to return a verdict in the case of one of his three co-defendants, 63-year-old conman Michel Nihoul, 63, who Dutroux alleged was the ringleader of a shadowy paedophile gang.
