BELGIUM-TRIAL-DUTROUX-SLUZNY-CLETY
Olivier Sluzny (L), the lawyer of Michel Lelievre, speaks with Frederic Clement de Clety, lawyer of Michel Nihoul, 17 June 2004 as they arrive at the Arlon court house. Belgian child-rapist Marc Dutroux was convicted on Thursday on multiple charges of murder and kidnapping after a harrowing two-month trial for his part in the abduction of six girls, four of whom died. The jury failed to return a verdict in the case of one of his three co-defendants, 63-year-old conman Michel Nihoul, 63, who Dutroux alleged was the ringleader of a shadowy paedophile gang.
