ARGENTINA-MILITARY-TRIAL
Argentine oppressors (L to R) Raul Guglielminetti, Samuel Miara and Julio Simon, aka El Turco Julian, the three most emblematic of 15 accused of the disappearance of 181 opponents during the military dictatorship (1976-83), sit behind their lawyers during the trial for torture, disappearance and murder being conducted by Federal Oral Court no. 2, on November 30, 2009 in Buenos Aires. The three clandestine detention centres --El Olimpo, Club Atletico and El Banco-- were operated under the then powerful I Army Corps field, whose jurisdiction covered both the capital and the province of Buenos Aires, the most populous area in the country.
