FRANCE-WINE-AUCTION-TOUR D'ARGENT
French Alexis Velliet (C) leads the auction of a bottle of Chateau d'Yquem 1979, part of some of the stock of the Tour d'Argent restaurant cellar put under the hammer on December 7, 2009 by the Piasa auction house in Paris. The Tour d'Argent puts 18,000 bottles of its best up for sale in December 2009, among them cognacs bottled before the French Revolution and vintages tippled by the rich and famous.
