US stocks tumbled December 8, 2008 as recovery concerns festered following Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke's sobering assessment of the economy. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 82.91 points (0.80 percent) to 10,307.20 at 1640 GMT.
