(FILES) A file picture taken on September 29, 2009 shows a Sotheby's employee holding a self portrait painting by Flemish artist Sir Anthony van Dyck at Sotheby's auction house, in central London. A self portrait by Anthony van Dyck painted in the last months before he died sold for 8.3 million pounds in London, beating the previous auction record for his work, Sotheby's said. The last-known portrait of the painter had been expected to sell for between two and three million pounds (2.2-3.3 million euros, 3.2-4.8 million dollars) at Wednesday December 9's auction, Sotheby's said.
