SWEDEN-NOBEL-STEITZ-CHEMISTRY
Thomas Steitz of Yale University, (L), receives the Nobel Prize in Chemistry from King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden during the Nobel prize award ceremony at the Stockholm Concert Hall in Stockholm, on December 10, 2009. Steitz graduated cum laude from Lawrence in 1962, and went on to obtain his Ph.D in molecular biology and chemistry from Harvard in 1966. He now teaches and directs research at Yale University.
