SPAIN-CATALONIA-REFERENDUM-LAPORTA
People burn flares after a speech by Joan Laporta , President of the Barcelona football club, in support of a referendum on Catalan independence on December 11, 2009 in Vic. More than 700,000 Catalans in 170 towns and villages, will vote on a referendum on Catalan independence next December 13, 2009. Referendums are being organized by several civil organizations, without the help of Public Administration since doing so would violate the law, but up to 170 municipalities approved declarations supporting independence.
