This handout photo received and taken on December 22, 2009 from the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society shows the Japanese harpoon vessel 'Shonan Maru No 2' attacking the Sea Shepherd vessel 'Steve Irwin' (not pictured) with water canons in the Southern Ocean off Antarctica. The Sea Shepherd animal rights group said the whalers used a long range acoustical device (LRAD) as well as water canons against the 'Steve Irwin'.
