INDIA-RELIGION-SADHU
An Indian sadhu - Hindu holy man - relaxes at a fire from the log of a tree uprooted during cyclone Aila, at a temporary camp in Kolkata on January 5, 2010. Hindu pilgrims have started to converge for the Gangasagar Mela which will culminate on January 14 on the occasion of Makar Sankranti during which a dip in the ocean at the confluence of the River Ganges and the Bay of Bengal, some 150 kms south of Kolkata, is considered to be of great religious significance.
