The trial of former French president Jacques Chirac on charges of corruption is expected to begin in November 2010, a judicial official said on January 6, 2010. The 77-year-old has been ordered to stand trial for misuse of public funds and breach of trust related to accusations that he created fake jobs for political allies when he was mayor of Paris.
