FBL-GER-FOUNDATION-ENKE
Teresa Enke (C), widow of goalkeeper Robert Enke, signs the charter of the Robert Enke Foundation in presence of DFB (German Football Association) officials on January 15, 2010 in Munich. Teresa Enke will be the chairwoman of the board of the Robert Enke foundation which has been set up by the German Football Federation (DFB), the Bundesliga (DFL) and Enke's former club Hanover 96. The foundation, which already has 150,000 euros donated by the three organisations, will help finance the study and treatment of depression and will also help children suffering from heart disease. Germany and Hanover 96 goalkeeper Robert Enke who had been suffering from depression for several years, committed suicide in November 2009.
