(FILES) -- A picture dated December 11, 2009 shows a Cypriot forensic experts climbing down a ladder to inspect the dug-out grave of former Cypriot president Tassos Papadopoulos in the village of Deftera on the outskirts of Nicosia. One month later and the mystery of opening up Papadopoulos' grave and steeling his corpse during the night still remains at a loss as to who stole it and why. Papadopoulos, who was president from 2003 to 2008, died of lung cancer on December 12, 2008 at the age of 74. He was buried in a eucalyptus grove in a cemetery in Deftera village, but on the eve of the first anniversary of his death his remains disappeared in one of the most shocking crimes in Cypriot history.
