BELGIUM-ABINBEV-DRINK-STRIKE

Striking union workers on January 20 distributed free beers to people to protest against the January 7 announcement by the Belgian-Brazilian-US brewing giant Anheuser-Busch InBev that it planned to cut 10 percent of its workforce in western Europe, or around 800 jobs.
