French firefighters from French Guiana, specialized in rubble-clearing, walk on January 19, 2010 through a poor area of the capital Port-au-Prince, looking for collapsed buildings. The firefighters chose to go through the neighborhood that has a reputation of being dangerous without any security escort in order not to provoke more tension following the January 12 earthquake.
