Mohamed Mechti, a Moroccan veteran of the 7 RTM (Regiment Tirailleurs Marocains), poses at his home in Bordeaux on December 22, 2008. Mechti was enlisted at the age of 18 by the French army into the "goumiers" during the World War II, while Morocco was one of France's colonies. Mechti must live in France nine month a year to get his veteran's grant.
