AFGHANISTAN-BRITAIN-US-UNREST
In this handout picture released by The Ministry of Defence (MOD), Members of the 1st Battalion The Royal Welsh including Corporal Lino Woolf (C) and his dog wait as a helicopter lands as they prepare for Operation Moshtarak at Camp Bastion in Helmand Province on February 13, 2010, in which a combined force of 15,000 troops are launching major assaults on Taliban strongholds. A massive assault force taking on the Taliban in southern Afghanistan claimed its first kills within hours of launching the biggest operation since US President Barack Obama ordered a troop surge, an Afghan army commander said. Five militants were killed soon after US-led troops helicoptered into Marjah in the poppy-growing belt of Helmand province, said Sher Mohammad Zazai, commander of the Afghan Army's 205 Corps.
