CYPRUS-POLITICS-CRIME-LOUCA
Cypriot Justice Minister Loucas Louca holds a press conference in Nicosia on March 9, 2010 following the finding of former president Tassos Papadopoulos's body in a shallow grave in the Cypriot capital three months after it was robbed from his family plot. The discovery following a tip-off call in "broken Greek" sparked a bizarre dispute between the justice minister and the Papadopoulos family over whether a ransom was demanded. Loucas, who insisted the motive behind the crime was purely financial rather than political, said there was a ransom demand of the wealthy family, without disclosing the amount or saying when it was made. However, "no ransom was paid," he added. AFP PHOTO/STEFANOS KOURATZIS
