JAPAN-SANYO-ENERGY-CONSERVATION
People rent power assisted bicycles at a "solar parking lot", a new initiative set up by Tokyo's Setagaya ward with Japanese electronics company Sanyo, near the railway station in Setagaya ward, Tokyo, on March 16, 2010. The rental station incorporates solar panels on the rooftop, and lithium-ion battery systems to the 100 electric power assisted bicycles and the lights, have been set up near railway stations for community use.
