AUSTRALIA-FIJI-WEATHER-CYCLONE
This Australian Government Department of Defence handout photo taken on March 17, 2010 humanitarian supplies being loaded onto RAAF C-130H Hercules A97-008 at the RAAF Base in Richmond near Sydney. Australia will provide up to one million Australian dollars (918,914 USD) in initial emergency humanitarian assistance to help the people of Fiji recover from the devastation and destruction caused by Cyclone Tomas, where over 18,000 people took shelter in 260 evacuation centres as homes, schools and buildings were destroyed in the savage weather. The RAAF, in collaboration with AUSAID, is transporting pallets of tarpaulins, water purifying equipment and other important supplies onboard a No. 37 Squadron (37SQN) C-130H Hercules.
