PHILIPPINES-POLITICS-VOTE

Relatives of victims from the violence-ridden strike in 2004 at Liberal Party presidential candidate Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino's Hacienda Luisita plantation in central Luzon, along with students, set fire to a giant yellow ribbon tainted with red paint to symbolize blood after a press conference in Manila on April 8, 2010. The yellow ribbons were the protest symbol of the late and former president Corazon Aquino against dictator Ferdinand Marcos. The relatives called on Benigno Aquino, whose family owns the 6,000-hectare (15,000-acre) Hacienda Luisita, to give justice to the victims of the 2004 incident at the family's corporate farm.
