LEBANON-WAR-ANNIVERSARY
Labourers put posters around a war-ravaged building at Sodeco Square in the Lebanese capital Beirut before starting restoration works on April 7, 2010. With sandbags, sniper slits and pockmarked facade, the building has long been a reminder of the country's 1975-1990 civil war. As Lebanon prepares to mark the 35th anniversary of its outbreak, the building is slated to become a museum dedicated to the horrors of that war. AFP PHOTO/JOSEPH EID
