MIDEAST-PALESTINIAN-ITALY-CHILDREN
Palestinian children run in the Vivicitta marathon organized by the European Union (EU) in the Shufat refugee camp in Arab east Jerusalem on April 18, 2010. The unprecedented children's marathon which aims at promoting the rights of minors covered an almost two kilometres of the course that winds through the narrow streets of the camp. Vivicitta in Shufat is the first public event for the launch of the "Play and Work to Avoid Isolation" project, which is being carried out with EU funding. AFP PHOTO/AHMAD GHARABLI
