The engine of an Airbus plane is covered with a protective foil as the plane stands on the airport in Nuremberg, southern Germany, on April 19, 2010. Germany's DFS air safety agency extended to 2:00 am (0000 GMT) the shutdown of its airspace because of volcanic ash, as a backlash from angry airlines against the measures grew.
