MAURITIUS-VOTE-RAMGOOLAM
Mauritius' Prime Minister Navin Chandra Ramgoolam waves as he celebrates his party winning the parlilamentary elections on May 6, 2010 in Port Louis. Mauritians turned out massively to vote on May 5, with turnout estimated at around 80 percent. The country, officially divided into four ethnic groups: Hindus, Muslims, Chinese, and the remaining "general population", has nearly always had a prime minister from the Hindu majority.
