MAURITIUS-VOTE-RAMGOOLAM
A crowd of supporters of Prime Minister Navin Chandra Ramgoolam congregate to celebrate their party's victory in the parliamentary elections on May 06, 2010, in Port Louis. Mauritians turned out massively to vote on May 5, with turnout estimated at around 80 percent. The country, officially divided into four ethnic groups: Hindus, Muslims, Chinese, and the remaining "general population", has nearly always had a prime minister from the Hindu majority.
