This handout shows the latest satellite imagery released by EUMETSAT on May 8, 2010 of the plume of ash (shown as a plume of bright orange and red colours on the satellite imagery) coming from the Eyjafjoell volcano in Iceland (top L) and spreading across the Atlantic and encroaching on the west coast of Ireland. Iceland's Eyjafjoell volcano threatened European skies with a new ash cloud Friday raising the risk of more flight cancellations, officials said.
