US-ART-ROGUE TAXIDERMY SHOW
A sculpture by Enrique Gomez de Molina called "Cherub," made of silver pheasant, ibis skull, civet cat tail and other materials, is on display at the Rogue Taxidermy Show at the La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles on May 8, 2010. Rogue Taxidermy is the creation of oddities using traditional taxidermy materials and techniques. Parts of real animals are combined with non-organic materials to create the hybrid sculptures. Road kill is one of the materials used in the non-traditional taxidermy creations, as are discarded livestock, destroyed nuisance animals and animals that have expired from natural causes.
