BRITAIN-AIRLINE-BA-EMPLOYEE-STRIKE-COMPANY
Brendan Barber, Secretary General of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), (R) and Derek Simpson joint Secretary General of Unite the Union (C) leave the Acas headquarters in central London following dusruption to the talks between Unite and British Airways (BA) on May 22, 2010. The offices were invaded by protestors calling for an end to job cuts, demanding to speak to British Airways CEO Willie Walsh. BA cabin crew are set to hold a five-day strike from May 24, followed by two further five-day actions starting on May 30 and June 5, if the talks mediated by employment dispute resolution service Acas are not successful.
