FRANCE-AFGHANISTAN-PRESS-HOSTAGES
President of the regional council of Provence-Alpes-Cote-d'Azur Michel Vauzelle (C) and Gerard Taponier (R), father of French hostage Stephane Taponier, take part on May 29, 2010 in the French southern city of Marseille, in a gathering in support of two French journalists kidnapped in December 2009 in Afghanistan. Journalists Herve Ghesquiere and Stephane Taponier working for France 3 went missing along with three Afghan colleagues a few kilometres from a French military base in eastern Afghanistan and have still not been found despite of French commanders mobilising hundreds of troops in a manhunt.
