This still image from a live BP video feed shows a dispersant (C) being applied to oil spewing from the fractured BP pipe after it was apparently capped on June 4, 2010 in the Gulf of Mexico. Remote-controlled submarines installed the cap over the spewing pipe nearly a mile (1,600 meters) below the surface late yesterday, but it remained unclear whether it was effectively containing the worst oil spill in US history.
