A pelican sits covered with oil from the Deepwater Horizon wellhead in Barataria Bay, Louisiana just off the Gulf of Mexico on June 6, 2010. The heavier oil has moved into the bay covering more wildlife everyday. The BP leased Deepwater Horizon oil platform exploded on April 20, 2010 and sank after burning, leaking record amounts of crude oil from the broken pipeline into the sea.
