FRANCE-AFGHANISTAN-PRESS-HOSTAGES
Bayeux Mayor Patrick Gomont (R) poses with the general secretary of Otages du Monde organization Martine Gauffeny (2nd-R) and officials on June 7, 2010 after a banner was deployed on the facade of the city hall in Bayeux, in support of Herve Ghesquiere et Stephane Taponnier, two French journalists kidnapped in December 2009 in Afghanistan. Journalists Herve Ghesquiere and Stephane Taponier working for France 3 went missing along with three Afghan colleagues a few kilometres from a French military base in eastern Afghanistan and have still not been found despite of French commanders mobilising hundreds of troops in a manhunt. The banner reads : "Free hostages!" AFP PHOTO / KENZO TRIBOUILLARD
