BP shares plunged Thursday as pressure mounted on the oil giant over the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster with a meeting between President Barack Obama and relatives of 11 workers killed on the Deepwater Horizon rig. BP shares slumped 15.7 percent in early London trading after the Obama administration gave the firm until Friday to update plans to contain the spill that has cost the company billions of dollars.
