AUSTRALIA-JAPAN-SPACE-ASTEROIDS
This undated handout photo released by the Australian Science Media Centre (AusSMC) on June 13, 2010, shows JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) personnel making final preparations in the JAXA Control Centre in Woomera, as they await the return of the Hayabusa spacecraft from a seven year mission. A tiny heatproof capsule which scientists hope contains some of the oldest dust in the universe will streak back to Earth and land in the Australian Outback on June 13 , ending an epic space mission. Scientists hope the Hayabusa craft, which left Earth in 2003 and reached the potato-shaped Itokawa asteroid two years later, will bring back dust gathered from the asteroid, possibly holding clues to the origins of the solar system.
