FINLAND-RESIGNATION-VANHANEN
Finnish Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen (L) tenders his resignation to Finnish President Tarja Halonen (R) in the president''s office in Helsinki, on June 18, 2010 ending his seven years in office. Center Party''s 41-year-old Mari Kiviniemi (not pictured) was chosen last weekend to replace Vanhanen as party leader and Kiviniemi is expected to be nominated as new prime minister next week.
