Hundreds of thousands of slum dwellers persist in living in dangerous areas in the Philippine's capital despite deadly floods that claimed hundreds of lives last year. A month into the tropical nation's annual rainy season entire communities that were hit hard by the September 2009 disaster are vigorously resisting government efforts to move them to safer.
